Hahnville routs Fontainbleau 67-36

By Warren LeBeauf

The Hahnville Tigers are trying to get back to their winning ways, and have posted a record of 9-4 so far this year.

Coach Brian Lumar said that the team is following in last year’s footsteps. Last year, we finished as the state runner up.

“We are now playing to our ability,” he told the team.

After a stunning 67-36 victory over Fontainbleau last week, we, the Tigers, are confident that we can go on to win the John Ehret tournament that is now underway.

Coach Lumar always has some inspiring words before each game and gets us pumped up and ready to play.

As a team, we feel that in every game we lost this year we actually beat ourselves. Reality has hit that every team will give us their best game.

That’s why Coach Lumar wants us to have consistency throughout the team.

Being a team captain, I preach that we play hard and together and also that we have that drive to win.

“If you combine all your talents together, it’s going to be scary and other teams better watch out,” Coach Lumar said.
