The Hahnville Boys’ soccer team participated in the Pearl River High School Invitational Soccer tournament on Dec. 5 and 6. The Tigers’ defeated East Jefferson on Dec. 5, but lost Saturday morning to Pope John Paul 1-0. The Tigers defeated Shaw that afternoon 3-0 to advance to the finals where they fell again to Pope John Paul 3-2 in the Finals.The Tigers defeated H.L. Bourgeois 4-1 at HHS. Scoring goals for the Tigers were Brion James (2). Brian Stewart-Bennett and Blake Samaha. The winning goal keeper was Tobias Dixon. Top defenders were Brandon Larousse and Michael Aucoin.
The Tigers defeated the South Lafourche Tarpons 4-3. scoring for the boys were Brion James, Blake Samaha, Gee Siqueira and Daniel Binet. The winning goal keeper was Tobias Dixon. Top defenders for the Tigers were Michael Aucoin and Brandon Larousse.
The Tigers will break for exams and play Morgan City High School on Dec. 23.
The Tigers are currently 6-5-1.
