This past weekend, the HHS Boys Soccer Booster Club held a JV Soccer Tournament with 12 teams from the surrounding area.
Hahnville, E.D. White, St. Charles Catholic, Newman, Holy Cross, Destrehan, St. Paul’s, Shaw, Denham Springs, St. Amant, Grace King and Dutchtown all took part in the event, with every one of them looking impressive.
In the first scheduled game, Hahnville took on Holy Cross and defeated them 4-0. Scoring for the Tigers were Hunter McDonald, Forest Muller, Reid Gautreaux and Jonathan Schmaltz.
Late Saturday, the Tigers were outscored by Newman and Sunday they were defeated by Vanderbilt Catholic, dashing their hopes of winning the tourney.
St. Paul’s and Newman played in the finals, with St. Paul’s winning the championship 5-0.
Hahnville’s JV finished 7th out of 12.
