Former Steeler Parquet returns to DHS to present football

Former Pittsburgh Steelers offensive lineman Jeremy Parquet returned to his alma mater Destrehan High School before last week’s game against Thibodaux to present a golden football.

As part of the NFL’s nationwide Super Bowl High School Honor Roll initiative, every player or head coach who was on an active Super Bowl roster return to their high school and present a gold football. Parquet earned a Super Bowl ring with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2009 when the Steelers  defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Super Bowl XLIII. Parquet got to see his Wildcats emerge victorious in his return, DHS besting Thibodaux 51-40 to secure the District 7-5A championship.
