Proceeds of the tournament went toward offsetting medical costs for Janice Vicknair,  who was diagnosed with cancer three years ago. She was able to attend and show her gratitude to everyone who assisted in making the tournament a success and to all who came out to support her in her time of need, according to tournament coordinator Audrey Champagne Raziano.

Raziano said those behind the Fishing for Frankie tournament would like to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this year successful.

“It definitely takes a team effort to get put on the event on each year,” she said. “We appreciate the workers, the cooks, those who donated, and those who came out and supported us once again. There are just so many people to thank. This community never ceases to amaze us.”
