Hahnville leader preps for next phase
Graduating May 18, Reginald R. Lumar is ready for the next phase of his journey. His decision to accept a full basketball scholarship to Bossier Parish Community College in Bossier, Louisiana is just the beginning that he is very excited about.”This junior college has an excellent academic and athletic program,” said Hahnville’s Coach Lumar. The community college has won division championships and runner-up for the pass 10 years. After visiting the facility and the coaching staff, Reginald’s decision was an easy one. The college has a brand new basketball facility and a head coach Louis Bonner who has completed his fourth season with an overall record of 52 wins and 38 losses.
“I am ready and excited,” said Reginald. “This is a wonderful opportunity that will prepare me for a division 1 college.” Reginald has played point guard for Hahnville for the past 4 years. That position is what he will be playing at Bossier Parish Community College as he hopes to continue his basketball career. “He will do well, because of his commitment, dedication and work ethics.” said Coach Lumar. “His love and passion for the game will continue to open up many more opportunities.”
“I expect him to do well both on the court and in the classroom.”
