Thousands gathered Saturday to run across the Hale Boggs Memorial Bridge for the 21st annual United Way of St. Charles Bridge Run/Walk.
Last year the bridge was unavailable as it underwent construction work, but it was back in play to give the event its unique flavor in 2017. The participants enjoyed free food, drinks and music at the run’s afterparty at West Bank Bridge Park.
