GET YOUR FISH DINNERS DURING LENT

Every Friday during lent the Knights of Columbus are frying fish throughout St. Charles Parish. locations include St. Charles Borremeo in Destrehan, Holy Family Church in Luling, the KC Hall on Spruce St. in Norco, and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis. Dinners for sale beginning at 5 p.m. First come, first served.

HELP FEED THE HOMELESS

NEW ORLEANS – The Homeless and Hungry Ministry of the Center of Jesus the Lord, 1236 North Rampart Street, New Orleans, prepares and brings hot meals to “the wall” on Elysian Fields where many hungry and homeless people gather.

People are needed to cook, transport, and serve the food. Call Dottie DiBella at 504-261-9078 or Karen Hubert at 504-442-1013.

FISH FRY FUNDRAISER AT AMA CHURCH

AMA – The Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Ama is sponsoring a building fund raiser fish fry on Saturday, March 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Robinson-Friloux American Legion Post 509 located at 10803 River Road in Ama.

MISSION AT DES ALLEMANDS CHURCH

DES ALLEMANDS – A mission will be held April 1-4 at 7 p.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. Deacon Glenn Harmon of Lake Chalres will conduct the mission, The Road to Emaus.

HOLY FAMILY EXTRAVAGANZA IN APRIL

LULING – On April 28, the Holy Family Church in Luing will host its eighteenth annual fundraiser “Extravaganza.”

Over 500 patrons will enjoy dinner, dancing, a night of excitement and a chance to win $10,000 grand prize. For information, call 985-785-8585.

‘ABOVE ALL KINGS’ SHOW SET FOR APRIL 1

Choirs from First Baptist Church of Luling and West St. Charles Baptist Church in Boutte will host “Above All Kings,” an Easter muscial celebration, on Sunday April 1, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at 13099 Highway 90. Everyone is invited to this wonderful seasonal event.
