Arrests
• Bernard Pharagood, 38, was arrested June 9 in Ama and charged with aggravated battery.
• Tedrek Selders, 31, was arrested June 9 in St. Rose and charged with resisting an officer, operating a vehicle with suspended license and proper equipment required – inspection tag required.
• Valdez Brown, 24, was arrested June 8 in Boutte and charged with motor vehicles, alteration or removal of identifying numbers, security required, violations of registration provisions and reckless operation of an off-road vehicle.
• Mark Aysen, 43, was arrested June 8 in Destrehan and charged with domestic abuse battery – strangulation.
• Darrielle Ingram, 32, was arrested June 5 in Luling and charged with theft by shoplifting and simple battery.
• Devon Dempster, 36, was arrested June 6 in Ama and charged with sale, distribution, or possession of a legend drug without a prescription or order prohibited, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, proper equipment required vehicles-inspection tag required, possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles, and speeding.
• Akeem Sumlin, 34, was arrested June 6 in Destrehan and charged with obstruction of justice-evidence tampering, possession of marijuana, reckless operation without accident, bicycle helmets, and riding on motor-driven cycles.
