Theft
• A landscape utility trailer, valued at $2,600, was reported stolen from 1310 South Bound, Luling, LA, on Feb. 13.• A cell phone, valued at $235, was reported stolen from 170 Road Runner Lane, Destrehan, LA, on Feb. 13.
• Assorted lumber and plywood, valued at $482, was reported stolen from 113 Airline Street, Montz, LA, on Feb. 13.
•Three metal garage doors, a hammer drill and 400 concrete bolts, valued at $2979, were reported stolen from 10326 US 61, St. Rose, LA, on Feb. 13.
• A car stereo, two speakers and an amplifier, valued at $725, were stolen out of a vehicle at 10326 US 61, St. Rose, LA, on Feb. 13.
• A DVD player, an amplifier, two speakers, and forty DVD’s & VHS tapes, total $880, were reported stolen from 704 Vans Lane, New Sarpy, LA, on Feb. 13.
• Two juveniles, 16 and 15, were arrested and charged with simple burglary after the two subjects allegedly broke into Ormond Country Club and stole two golf carts. Both golf carts were later located, one submerged in water, and the other stuck in the mud.
• Three neon signs, valued at $750, were reported stolen from 13755 LA 18, Luling, LA, on Feb. 14.
• A 17” flat panel LCD computer monitor, valued at $400.00, was reported stolen from 105 Lakewood Drive, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16.
• A welding machine, valued at $8,000, was reported stolen from 266 LA 3142, Taft, LA, on Feb. 16.
• A CrossOver, a cd player, three speakers, and an amplifier, valued at $1470 was reported stolen from 204 Pine Street, Boutte, LA, on Feb. 17.
• A gas cut off saw, valued at $1500, was reported stolen from 10425 Airline Highway, St. Rose, LA, on Feb. 17.
Arrests
• Charles H. Waters, 31, of 104 Churchill Downs Blvd, Montz, LA, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery after he had an altercation with a 29 year old Montz man at 105 Chruchill Downs Blvd., Montz. Sheriff Greg Champagne reports that the above subject allegedly hit the victim with a metal pipe in the back of the head and cut the victim on the arm. The victim was transported to River Parish Hospital for his injuries.
• Lisa B. Haley, 40, of 268 Marcia Drive, Luling, LA, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery at the above address on Feb. 11. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested after an altercation with a male subject. During the altercation the above subject allegedly struck the man with a cast iron skillet.
• Richard J. Verdin, 37, of 268 Marcia Drive, Luling, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. of SCH II CDS to wit alprazolam (Zanbars ) and dist. the peace following an altercation with a female subject at the above address on Feb. 11. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject allegedly pointed a gun at the ground while yelling at the female subject. He was also found to be in poss. of 13 Zanbars.
~ The following subjects were arrested after detectives received information from numerous sources in reference to illegal narcotics trafficking taking place at 339 Evelyn Drive, the residence of Brian Williams. While conducting surveillance, detectives learned of several drug transactions. As a result, two vehicles were stopped for suspicious drug activity.
• Brian Williams, 35, of 339 Evelyn Drive, Luling, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. with intent to distribute methamphetamine, poss. with intent to dist. marijuana, poss. of a firearm in the presence of a CDS, and poss. of drug paraphernalia at the above address on Feb. 16. A search warrant was executed at the above address. During the search, detectives located approximately 38.4 grams of Methamphetamine, 172.1 grams of marijuana, several guns, and drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $210,000 by Judge Granier.
• Jewell Watts III, 25, of 10197 Lake Park Avenue, Gonzales, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. of SCH II CDS to wit methamphetamine and poss. of drug paraphernalia at LA 18 @ LA 52, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16. Bond was set at $35,000 by Judge Granier.
• Richard Woodruff, 52, of 130 Gassen Lane, Luling, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. of marijuana, poss. of methamphetamine, open container, and poss. of drug paraphernalia at 12125 Hwy. 90, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16. Bond was set at $35,000 by Judge Granier.
• Jeanne Lauve, 42, of 106 Matthew Lane, Luling, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. marijuana and open container at 12125 Hwy. 90, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16. Bond was set at $2,000 by Judge Granier.
~ Sheriff Greg Champagne reports that the following subjects were arrested after deputies detected the odor of marijuana emitting from a vehicle parked by the fuel pumps at the gas station. After making contact with the subjects, marijuana and cocaine were found in the vehicle.
• Jarvis Wells, 20, of 3121 Agusta Street, Kenner, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. with intent to dist. marijuana, poss. with intent to distribute cocaine, and poss. of drug paraphernalia at 1364 Paul Mallard, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16.
• Edwin Wells, 24, of 1109 Paul Fredrick Street, Luling, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. with intent to dist. marijuana, poss. with intent to dist. cocaine, and poss. of drug paraphernalia at 1364 Paul Mallard Road, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16.
• Dennis Morgan, 20, of 3158 Tifton Street, Kenner, LA, was arrested and charged with poss. with intent to dist. marijuana, poss. with intent to dist. cocaine, and poss. of drug paraphernalia at 1364 Paul Frederick Road, Luling, LA, on Feb. 16.
• Debra Gibbs, 45, of 304 Turtle Creek Lane, St. Rose, LA, was arrested charged with aggravated assault at the above address on Feb. 16. Sheriff Greg Champagne reports that the above subject allegedly threatened a victim with a knife.
DWI
• Mary Driskill, 50, of 37480 Murray Road, Pearl River, LA, was arrested and charged with DWI and reckless operation at US 90 @ Scott Street, Paradis, LA, on Feb. 17.
• James Black, 47, of 1704 Francis Avenue, Metairie, LA, was arrested and charged with DWI, poss. of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia at I-310 East on Feb. 19.
• Fernando Estupinan, 29, of 1632 Newport Place, Kenner, LA, was arrested and charged with DWI, No DL, and impeding flow of traffic at I-310 Southbound on Feb. 19.
• John A. Dantin, 39, of 233 West Harding Street, Destrehan, LA, was arrested and charged with DWI and careless operation at St. Charles Hospital on Feb. 18
