Arrests

• Leroy Hensley, 60, of 430 Barber Rd., Paradis, LA, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery at the above address on March 21. Sheriff Champage reports that the above subject was arrested following an altercation with his wife. During the altercation the subject allegedly threw a vaccuum at the victim. The victim refused medical treatment.

•Eric Alexander, 17, of 409 Longview Drive, Destrehan, LA, was arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 1-second offense at 276 Dunlieth Drive, Destrehan, LA, on March 23. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was a passenger in a vehicle whiched deputies had stopped for a traffic violation. Deputies detected the smell of the marijuana from the vehicle. Deputies found a bag of marijuana in the center console of the vehicle.

• Rayfeild Joseph Davis, 29, of 201 Quarter Road, Edgard, LA, was arrested and charged with theft of goods at 5800 Hwy. 44, Convent, LA, on March 26. Sheriff Champagne reports that the subject was arrested on a warrant for the above charge. Subject walked out of store without paying for a case of beer.

• Elaina Lynn Smith, 27, of 525 Marino Drive, Norco, LA, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery in the 300 Block of Evangeline Road, Montz, LA, on March 26. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested on a warrant for the above charge. Subject was involved in an altercation with a victim. Subject allegedly turned the wheels of her vehicle and took off, making contact with the victim.

• Glenn Jenkins, 40, of 490 Boutte Estate Drive, Boutte, LA, was arrested and charged with attempted burglary and simple burglary at 172 Boutte Estate Drive, Boutte, LA, on March 26. Sheriff Champagne reports that the above subject was arrested on a warrant for the above charges. The subject allegedly broke into the victim’s home and vandalized the interior of her kitchen and living room.

DWI

• Keely C. Black, 36, of 3800 Crandlake Blvd., Kenner, LA, was arrested and charged with DWI and speeding at I-10 Westbound on March 22.

• Gary Eugene Shaw, 51, of 4037 Hwy. 306, Bayou Gauche, LA, was arrested and charged with DWI (2nd offense), driving under suspension, failure to appear for comtempt of court on March 25.

Theft

• A utility trailer, valued at $400, was reported stolen from 119 Fashion Blvd., Hahnville, LA, on March 20.

• A 2002 Cadillac Escalade, valued at $20,000, was reported stolen from LA 3127 @ I-310, South Boutte, LA, on March 20.

• A 1992 trailer, valued at $4,000, was reported stolen from 10326 US 61, St. Rose, LA., on March 21.

• $30.00 was reported stolen from 1058 Luling Estates, Luling, LA, on March 22.

• A radio/CD player, three amplifiers, a subwoofer, and various CDs, valued at $3,870, was reported stolen from 249 Beaupre Drive, Luling, LA, on March 23.

• A ultrasonic stress testing unit for welding inspect, a cordless grinder, an inverter, and a phone charger, valued at $8,055, was reported stolen from a vehicle at 128 Cottage Drive, Luling, LA, on March 23.

• A gold ring with diamonds, various medications, a silver chandalier, valued at $875, was reported stolen from 15242 LA 48, Norco, LA, on March 23.

• A purse containing $300, a social security card, drivers license, a digital camera, total value $500, was reported stolen from 210 Arlington, Luling, LA, on March 23.

• A Ford Tempo, valued at $1,000, was reported stolen from 15909 River Road, Hahnville, LA, on March 25.

• A wallet, driver’s license, $250, brown leather jacket, 2 stereo amplifiers and 2 speakers, valued at $1,475.00, was reported stolen from 50 Carriage Lane, Destrehan, LA, on March 25.

• $1,820.00 in cash was reported stolen from 10326 US 61, St. Rose, LA, on March 25.

• A Nissan Murano, valued at $25,000, was reported stolen from 100 Diane Place, St. Rose, LA, on March 25.

• A 28” girls bike was reported stolen from 318 Gum Street, Hahnville, LA, on March 25.

• Two four wheelers, valued at $6500, was reported stolen from 621 Willowdale Blvd., Luling, LA, on March 25.

• Sheriff Greg Champagne reports that $115.00, various credit cards, a wallet, a golf bag, thirteen golf clubs, total value $1,920, from a golf cart at 10 Villere Drive, Destrehan, LA, on March 25.
