Chromebook giveaways, free food, campus tours and much more are available for visitors to the River Parishes Community College United Way of St. Charles campus on July 7 from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
The Rex & the Krewe event – sponsored by Dow and Shell – is open to the community and anyone looking to explore the education opportunities that RPCC offers.
“At Shell Norco, we know that education is important to pave the way for a better future for the community,” Corporate Relations Advisor Rochelle Touchard said. “It can also be more than learning and growing – it can be fun. We are excited to sponsor Rex and the River Parishes Community College Krewe in a fun day of events for students, potential students and the community.”
There will be opportunities at the event to apply to the college with the help of the recruitment and admissions department. Tours of the campus will also be provided, and there will be a chance to learn about scholarships such as the MJ Foster Promise Program.
“We would like to offer our community the opportunity to come out and meet us and tour the campus. It is the perfect opportunity to get all your questions answered in one place regarding our programs and degrees,” Penelope Shumaker, campus director, said. “You will find our campus welcoming to all learners.”
