Candy-Dipped Halloween Apples

Whip up a new dish for your family with the Herald-Guide’s Recipe of the Week.

Ingredients:

  • Medium apples
  • Cookie sticks (8 inches in length)
  • Candy melts (light cocoa, dark cocoa and white cocoa)
  • Halloween pumpkin mix sprinkles,
  • Halloween confetti sprinkles or
  • Ghost mix sprinkles
  • Halloween nonpareils
  • Orange, black or lavender sugars

Directions:

1. Line cookie sheet or pan with parchment paper.

2. Wash and completely dry apples. Insert cookie sticks into tops of apples. In medium microwave-safe bowls, melt each variety of candy melts, according to package directions.

3. Place sprinkles and sugars in small bowls.

4. Dip apples into melted candy, then immediately into desired sprinkles or sugars.

5. Place on prepared pans, stick up. Chill until firm.
