Wilton Joseph Hue, Sr.

Wilton Joseph Hue, Sr., 89, passed away on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He was a native of Pierre Part, LA prior resident of Des Allemands, LA and current resident of Folsom, LA.

He is survived by his daughters, Tina (Red) Hamilton, Myra (Kenneth) Haynes, Donna Myers and Jill (Calvin) Stoltz; sons, Wilton J. Hue, Jr. and Brett (Jamie) Hue; grandchildren, Alicia Hamilton Malloy, Kade (Julia) Hamilton, Sr., Caitlyn Haynes (BJ) Roux, Cody (Elizabeth) Hue, Blake (Jennifer) Hue, Brianna Hue, Michelle Hue, Nicole Hue, Sara Stoltz, Emilie Stoltz, Adam Stoltz, Jarrett Hue, Jr. and Dustin Curole; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Lucy Royster; brother, Curtis Hue.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Elaine “Chunnie” Dufrene Hue; two sons, Lyndon James Hue and Jarrett Charles Hue, Sr.; parents, Gilbert and Mary Hue; sisters, Anna Mae Knight and Grace Hue; brother, Joseph Hue.

He was kind and selfless, dedicated to his family, church and community. He was an active member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, serving and volunteering on the LA Catfish Festival Committee for many years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy where he proudly served during the Korean War. He dedicated many years in service to the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Luling Post 3750, in which he attained recognition as a Bronze Legacy Life Member of the VFW.

Visitation will be held at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland on Monday, March 7th from 9:00 a.m. until funeral time. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery in Des Allemands.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to VFW Post 3750, Luling, LA or the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of Lance Corporal Lyndon James Hue, USMC.
