Michael David Sumrall

Michael David Sumrall passed away on Saturday, Feb. 3. Beloved husband of Tabatha Beauvais. Father of Cameron Michael Sumrall. Son of Mary Lou Burgett Sumrall and Troy Sumrall. Beloved grandson of Virginia Burgett, Betty Sumrall, the late Ronie Sumrall and Les Burgett. Also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Age 24 years and resident of Luling. Relatives, friends, and employees of St. Charles Parish Public Schools, Murrya’s Air Conditioner and members of Luling United Methodist Church were invited to attend Memorial Services at Luling on Tuesday Feb. 6 at 4:30 PM. Family received friends after 3:30 PM. Donations in his memory were made to the Luling United Methodist Church.

Lisa Lynn Murray

On Wednesday Jan. 31 God called His daughter, Lisa Lynn Murray home to Him. Lisa was born March 9, 1955 in St. Louis, MO. She grew up and lived in Destrehan. Those who are left to mourn are her beloved daughte, Sarah Elizabeth Coffman, her brothers Joey, Peter, and Patrick, her parents June LeBlanc and Paul Murray Jr., and her sister Amy Murray. Also sisters-in- law: Stacey and Laura Murray and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband John Abadie and Sterling F. coffman, paternal grandparents: Lizzie and Paul Murray Sr., and maternal grandparents: Ruby LeBlanc Duvlgneaud and Henry E. LeBlanc. Lisa was a graduate of St. Charles Borromeo School. She received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of New Orleans and a nursing degree from Nicholl’s State University. Lisa also attended Tulane University Law School. She was a retired registered nurse and co- owner of River Region Home Health Agency. Family, friends, parishoners of St. Charles Borromeo, Neocatechumenal communities of St. Marthas, St. Jerome, Blessed Seelos, Our Lad of Good Council and Sacred Heart (LaCombe) Churches were invited to celebreate Lisa’s life and her journey to eternal happiness with God.Visitation was at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Destrehan. The Mass of Christains Burial was on Monday Feb. 5 at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetary .

Lynn Benoit Sr.

Lynn Benoit Sr. passed away on Thursday Feb. 8 at 9:00 AM in River Ridge. Beloved husband of Bonnie Cortez Benoit. Father of Lynn Benoit, Jr. and Kelly B. Dufrene. Song of the late Clifton Benoit Sr. and Gladys Hebert Benoit. Brother of Clifton Jr., Kermit, Clark, Jimmy, Willie Benoit, Annadel Lagarde, Catherine Lagarde, Stanis Folse, and the late Winona Bye, Angel Benoit and Pearl Beniot. Also survived by 5 grandchildren. A native of Thibodaux and a resident in St. Charles Parish communities.Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, St. Charles Community on Saturday Feb. 10 at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Joseph Cemetary, Thibodaux. Visitation was from 9:00 AM until funeral time Saturday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Falgout Funeral Home.

Ruby Katherine Donnaud Smith

Ruby Katherine Donnaud Smith passed away on Thursday Feb. 8 at Thibodaux. Beloved wife of the late Louis L. Smith Sr. Mother of Louis L. Smith Jr. and his wife Marily B. Smith and Kay Kathryn Smith Gauthreaux and her husband Ronald E. Gauthreaux Jr. Daughter of the late Joseph Louis Donnaud and Louise Mary Thibodaux Donnaud. Sister of John, Albert, Paul Donnaud, Rita Donnaud, Mary Brown and the late Prosper Lawrence, Joseph Jr., Allen Donnaud, Lillian Poche, Eula Templet and Annie Bourgeois. Grandmother of Rene E. Gauthreaux and Trevor L. Smith. Great grandmother of Colin, Alexander, and Andrew Smith. Step grandmother of Dennis Maloe and Moody Stevens. Also survived by five step great grandchildren. A native of Boutte and a resident of Thibodaux. Former resident of Paradis. Age 94 years. Parishoner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and attended Masses at Audubon Guest Home. Relatives and friends were invited to attnd the funeral. Religious services on Monday Feb. 12 at 11:00 AM at Falgout Funeral Homes,. Interment St. Mary Cemetary. In lieu of flowers donations to National Alzheimer’s Association.

Alton J. Kinler

Alton J. Kinler passed away on Saturday Feb. 10 in Lutcher. Son of the late Edmond Kinler and Anita Laiche Kinler. Brother of Dudley “T- Dud” Kinler and Edmond “Clerk” Kinler Jr. both of Paulina. Ellis “Spud” Kinler of LaPlace, the late Nelson Kinler, Nora K. Faucheaux of Paulina, Larry Kinler, Alton George Kinler, Janice K Decareaux and Alice K Bailey. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Age 67. A native and resident of Paulina. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic church in Paulina.

Wallace Rainey Sr.

Wallace (Lefty, Boogie) Rainey Sr. of Boutte was called home on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the age of 66 years. Son of the late Silas and Someria Washington Rainey Jr., Beloved husband of Cynthia C. Rainey. Father of Wallace Jr. (Tammara) and Chelita Rainey. Grandfather of Jiles Rainey. Godfather of Vanessa Rainey and Rainie Vinnett. Brother of Catherine Johnson, Rosalie (Arthur) Allen of New Orleans, Gloria Jean (Felmon) Bethancourt of Edgard, Brenda Morgan) Burke, Dianne Vinett, Patricia Montgomery of LaPlace, Silas Jr. (late Esther Lee) of Baton Rouge, Arthur, Lance (Barbara) Rainey of Edgard, Lester (Betty) Rainey Sr. of Hahnville and the late Paul Rainey. Brother-in-law of Anna (Weldon) Collette of New Orleans, Michael (Debra) Chaney of New Orleans, Anna and Audrey Rainey of Edgard, Doris Chaney of Marrero. Son-in-law of the late Norman and Josie J. Chaney Sr. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A native of Edgard and a resident of Boutte. A former employee of A & P Tea Company. Relatives and friends of the family and also pastors, officers and member s of the Greater Woodville B.C. in Wallace, New Jerusalem B.C., Historical Bethlehem B.C. and neighboring churches, employees of Sercuritas Security, A & P Tea Co. are invited to attend were invited to attend the funeral services on Thursday Feb. 1, 2007 at 11 a.m. from the Greater Woodville B.C. W. 9th St. in Wallace. Rev. Marc Nelson officiating. Interment Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte. Visitation at the church after 9 a.m. Final viewing at the church after 9 a.m. Final viewing at the church after 10:45 a.m. The Baloney Funeral Home LLC in Garyville was in charge of arrangements.
