Rosemay Malbrough Taranto, 87, a native of Houma and resident of Paradis, was entrusted to God’s loving care on Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at her residence in Paradis.
She is survived by her son, Gaspar Taranto Jr. and wife Arlene Dufrene Taranto of Paradis, six grandchildren: Kerry Taranto and wife Stacy, Kacy Kernan and husband Michael, Angela Grigar and husband Michael, Charla Blankenship and fiance Joey, Lauren Perkins and husband Chris, and Joshua Taranto and wife Chantel; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Gaspar Taranto Sr., a son, Daniel Taranto, her parents, Harris Malbrough and Louise Leonard Malbrough, longtime companion, Emmett Werhan, brothers, Alden Malbrough Sr. and Clifford Bonvillan, and sisters, Hilda Vial and Annamae Loupe Breaux.
A visitation took place on July 19 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Paradis with Mass of Christian Burial following at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling. Falgout Funeral Homes of Raceland was in charge of arrangements.
