Shirley Jane “Sam” LeBlanc

Shirley Jane “Sam” LeBlanc passed away peacefully on July 16, 2025, in Luling, Louisiana, at the age of 85. Born on November 21, 1939, in Lafayette, Louisiana, she was the beloved daughter of Adam and Azema LeBlanc.

A proud graduate of Mount Carmel Academy, Shirley went on to earn her degree from Nicholls State University. Her dedication and work ethic led her to a fulfilling career as a dental lab technician at Dr. Peter Glaser’s dental practice in Luling, where she served the community with care and precision for many years. Later in life, she brought warmth and cheer to countless shoppers as a greeter at the local Wal-Mart before retiring.

Shirley was a woman who found joy in simple pleasures and treasured time spent with family. She loved fishing and playing board games with her loved ones—often with a mischievous sparkle in her eye. Known for occasionally bending the rules during game night (though she’d never admit it), her playful spirit left lasting memories for those around her.

She is lovingly remembered by her four children: Donna Barberito (Jimmy), Robin LaBorde, Jevonna Lawrence, and Aubrey “Boobie” Hebert; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Her legacy lives on through them and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Azema LeBlanc.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
