Olivia Dufrene Zeringue, 72, a native and resident of Paradis, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021.
Visitation will be from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Falgout Funeral Home, Raceland, LA and from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, May 21, 2021 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis, LA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 at the church with burial to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Luling, LA.
She is survived by her husband, Edmond Souchon Zeringue; daughters, Olivia M.P. Zeringue and Edith “Duke” Soulier (David); son, Edmond Souchon Zeringue II (Lori); grandchildren, Cameron, Zoe, Audrey, Landen, Ebby, Ellee and Lynn Marie; brother, Oliver George Dufrene Sr. (Bettye) and sister, Rose Mary Dufrene Parker (Richard Mike Parker). Also survived by her feline companion, Reggie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew George Dufrene and Marie Louise Dufrene and sister, Audrey Gaubert (Lucien).
Olivia enjoyed arts and crafts. She was an ardent pet lover and always had a companion dog or cat. She was a substitute teacher, religion teacher and a volunteer with the Paradis Fire Department. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
