Johnny Lewis, Jr., on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at his residence in Killona, LA. Son of Julia Lewis and the late Johnny Lewis, Sr. Brother of Michael A. Williams, Patricia L. (James) Downing, Gilbert Lewis, Navada L. (Rickie) Borne, Nathan (Foncella) and David Lewis. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 52 years. A native and resident of Killona, LA. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Canaan, Children of Israel and Bethlehem Baptist Church and all neighboring churches were invited to attend the funeral service at Canaan Baptist Church. Father of Warren Hilaire, Jr., Ursula H. Johnson, Veronica Hilaire, JoAnn H. Vinnett, and Ricky J. Hilaire. Brother of Joseph Hilaire, Sr., Antoinette Tanner, Edith Meadoux, Amelia Roussell, Betty Linton, Lucille Adams, Evelyn Barre, Juanita Green, the late Beatrice Roberts and Geda Landreaux. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 83 years. A native and resident of Edgard, LA. Richard Joseph Pintado, of Waggaman, LA, on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Beloved husband of 49 and half years to Evelyn Friloux Pintado. Father of Vicki Pintado Childress (Larry) and Troy Joseph Pintado(Dawn). Grandfather of Christopher Averite, Richard Childress, Brianne Childress, Zachary Pintado, Jessica Pintado, and Sarah Pintado. Son of the late Eldridge Rousselle Pintado and Lee Pintado, Sr. Brother of Margaret Pintado Boudreaux Peltier, Marie Pintado Laughlin Polkey, and the late Lee Pintado, Jr. Age 78 years. Native of Luling, LA, and a resident of Waggaman, LA, for many years. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the Funeral Services at Boutte Assembly of God Church in Boutte, LA, on March 13, 2006. Followed by interment in Restlawn Park Cemetery in Avondale, LA. Visitation was held at Boutte Assembly of God Church in Boutte, LA. Westside/Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

McLaughlin

Anita Molaison McLaughlin, on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 at 7:50p.m. in Luling, LA. Beloved wife of the late Donald McLaughlin. Daughter of the late Onisippe and Bernadette Matherne Molaison. Sister of Elizabeth Davis, Una Mae Orlopp and the late Randolph, Luby, Nelson Molaison, Jeanne Schmill, Louise Marcel, Lena Portier and Olive Matherne. A native of Houma, LA. A resident of Paradis for 55 years and a resident of Luling Living Center for the past 3 years. Age 93 years. Relatives and friends of the family were invited to attend the funeral. A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, Des Allemands, LA on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 11:00a.m. Interment Des Allemands Mennonite Cemetery. Falgout Funeral Homes in charge of arrangements.

Vicknair

Alex Joseph Vicknair, Sr., age 88, died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at River Ridge Hospice. He was preceded in death by wife of 30 years; Bertie Vicknair, Parents Oscar and Julianne Keller Vicknair, Calice Decareaux, Angeline Gonor and Lena Petit, and grandson David Joseph Cochrane. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kathy and David Cochrane. Sisters: Leona Ferraro, Avis Landry, Rowena Taylor, and Shirley Pisciotti, Grandchildren: Alex III, Brittany, Jacob Vicknair, David James and Dylon Cochrane. Great grandson Kevin Vicknair. Visitation was Saturday at 9:00a.m. at Alexander Funeral Home, in Norco. Funeral service was at 11:00a.m. the same day. Entombment in St. Charles Mauseleum in Destrehan. He lived his life for his children and grandchildren. H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco in charge of arrangements.
