Beloved husband of Vesta Perry Chauvin, loving father of Barry Chauvin, Sr. and his wife Beverly Theriot Chauvin and Gayle Chauvin Volion and her husband Howard Volion. Grandfather of Kevin Volion, Chris Volion, Barry Chauvin, Jr., Kerri Volion Mohon, Tammy Chauvin Foret and Michelle Chauvin Theriot. Also 9 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson. Brother of Douglas and Willard Chauvin, Ruby Lee Mathis and Peggy Duplantis. Proceeded in death by parents, Armand Joseph Chauvin and Rena Marie Rousel Chauvin. A brother, Curtis Chauvin. Two sisters, Delta Falgout and Jeanette Marie Chauvin. He was an avid decoy carver. He served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. Member of Veteran of Foreign Wars. Lawrence “Chicken” Frank Robert, Sr., passed away on Sunday Feb. 25 at 4:50 a.m. in Luling. Beloved husband of the late Eunice Gaubert Robert. Father of Lawrence Robert, Jr., and his wife Johnna, Ralph J. Robert, Sr. and his wife Nellie, Elaine Robbert St. Pierre and her husband Jack. Son of the late Louis and Odalie Hymel Robert. Brother of Lucien Robert and the late Luke, Norbert, Hebert Robert, Anaise Gonzales, Althea Robert, Vivian Faucheaux and Mable Robert. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was a native of Ama and a resident of Luling. He died at the age of 94. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral.
