Rosalie Caballero Naquin entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Iven A. Naquin, Sr. Daughter of the late Edmond Caballero and Angeline Landry Caballero. Mother of Iven Naquin, Jr. (Louise), Dolores Rodrigue (Rod), Ned Naquin (Ginger), Becky Becnel (Keeter) and Judy Richoux (Fred). Grandmother of Nicole, Brandon, Danielle, Dawn, Danette, Christie, Brett, Michael, Renee, Mandy. Survived by 11 great grand-children, two great great grandsons and one expected great great grandson and a host of nieces and nephews. Sister of Lucy Oubre, Cam Gradwhol and the late John, Jeanne, Ned, Louis, Percy, Mercedes and Audrey.
Rosalie was a member of St. Gertrude Ladies Altar Society, Busy Bees Homemakers Club; she was a volunteer at St. Gertrude Catholic Church. She was born in Paint-courtville and was a longtime resident of Des Allemands.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the Staff of St. Francis Villa, Staff of Ormond Nursing and Care Center and Hospice Associates of Metairie for their love and care.
In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or donations may be made to St. Gertrude Catholic Church or Hospice Associates. Relatives and friends were invited to attend visitation at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Gertrude Catholic Church on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. Interment was in St. Gertrude Mausoleum in Des Allemands.
