Myra Gail Land Beck passed away Friday, November 25, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of 55 years to the late Ernest George Beck. Loving mother of Myra Dee Beck Head (Ben F. Head) and the late Amy Jo Beck Doss of Paradis, LA. Adoring grandmother of Elizabeth Marie Head Hymel (Derek T. Hymel) and great-grandmother of Aimee Elizabeth Hymel and Ava Jo Hymel. Daughter of the late Marie Davis Land and Charles Land. Sister of the late Nancee Jo Clark (Myron Eugene Clark). Aunt of Bruce Clark (Cathy Clark), Sarah Clark Iola (Mark Iola), and Charles Jay Clark (Patti Clark). Also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, other loving relatives and friends, a native of Enfield, IL and a resident of St. Charles Parish for the last 41 years, having relocated from Columbus, GA.
Myra graduated from Southern Illinois University where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She earned her Master’s Degree and taught in Columbus, GA and upon her relocation to St. Charles Parish, R.J. Vial Elementary in Paradis. She was a dear and cherished friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing her. Myra was devoted to her family and took great pleasure in her children, granddaughter and great-granddaughters.
Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 4 PM until 8 PM. Memorial Prayers will be held at 5pm.
