Earline Roux Mongrue

Earline Roux Mongrue, a resident of Luling born Oct. 8, 1918, passed peacefully into her eternal life on Nov. 28 at the age of 96.

Daughter of the late Eulice Roux and Eva Champagne Roux, sister of the late Villa Kinler, Velma Roux, Delmire and Roy Roux.

She is also preceded in death by her loving husband Milton Mongrue. She is survived by her children; Courtney Mongrue, Connie Mars, Wanda St. Martin, and Wade Mongrue, her grandchildren; Lecia Monceaux, Courtney Sue and  Tangie Mongrue, Misty Mars, Tammy Prine, Candy  and Terry St. Martin, her great grandchildren; Connor and Caroline Monceaux, Journie and Charley Prine, Casie and Emily Schwab and Jordyn Fremin.

Mrs. Earline retired from St. Charles Parish School Board after 28 years and was an accomplished seamstress. There was always a huge spread of food awaiting family, friends, and the many cowboys who assisted 3M Cattle Company over the years.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Dec. 3 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass and Interment at the St. Charles Mausoleum in Luling.
