Iris Heurtin Miguez, 69, a native and resident of Hahnville, passed away on July 6.
Visitation was held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary in Hahnville July 11, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial and burial in the church cemetery in Taft.
Miguez is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Harold Martin Miguez Jr.; sons, Duane Miguez (Sandra), Brad Miguez (Diane); daughters, Tara Sicomo (Nick), Deirdre Wildmon (Jerrell); brothers, Clyde Heurtin, Gary Heurtin; sisters, Patsy Matherne; 11 grandchildren, Monica Sicomo, Hannah Hutchinson, Nicole Sicomo, Collin Hutchinson, Tanner Miguez, Cade Miguez, Breanna Rouse, Kayla Boyce, Paige Wildmon, Chase Miguez, Abigail Miguez and three great grandchildren: Ariana Honeycutt, Dallas Boyce, Emma Honeycutt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar J. Heurtin and Florence Robert Heurtin; brother, Ronald Heurtin and sister, Pearl Rae Gaubert.
She was a devoted wife and loving mother. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
