Joyce Boudreaux Madere passed away Jan. 15 after many years of cardiovascular disease.
Madere is survived by her children, Alvin Madere Jr.
(Pamela), and Paula Madere Kinler (Brian), grandchildren, Erica Kinler Heling (Scott), Corey Weeks (Lindsey), and Joel Michael Guy Jr.
She is also survived by great grandchildren, Liam and Elodie Weeks and Gianna Therese Heling (expectant).
Also mourning her passing are sisters, Theresa Savoy and Dolores Sauls, Godchildren, Gail LeBlanc, Karen Velargo and Michelle Arceneaux and many nieces and nephews.
Madere is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin “Preacher” Madere, daughter Lisa Madere Guy (late Joel Sr.), great granddaughter Maria Faustina Heling, and her parents, Lawrence and Elizabeth Lelia Boudreaux. She is also preceded by her siblings, Rita Simoneaux, L.J. Boudreaux, Jr., Dudley Boudreaux, and Audrey Velargo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Jan. 20 followed by burial at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
