Louise Matherne Schaubhut, 78, a native and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Jan. 15, 2011.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Johnny Schaubhut, her son, Bertrand Schaubhut (wife Erice), three grandchildren: Jessica Cortez (husband Ferdie), Lonny Schaubhut (wife Tammy) and Philip Woods; three great-grandchildren: Courtney and Dylan Crockett and Heather Cortez; and two great-great-grandchildren, Caden LeBlanc and Myah Cortez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertrand and Virginia Matherne, two sons, Lonny and Philip Schaubhut, and four brothers: Sidney, Rene’, Abraham and Hubert Matherne.
Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands on Jan. 20 with burial following at St. Gertrude Cemetery. Falgout Funeral Homes was in charge of arrangements.
