Thelma Braud Kugler, 94, a resident of Destrehan died at home after a brief illness on April 19, 2017. Kugler was the daughter of the late Alexander P. and Fannie Daigle Braud. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles Joseph Kugler.
She is survived by four daughters and one son: Melanie Landry (Edmond), Mary Beth Anderson, Jan Ambrose (Scott), Barbara Potter (James) and Brent Kugler (Anne). She was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren: Wesley, Nathan, Lindsay and Shannon Landry; Callie Anderson; Mallory and Jordan Ambrose; Emily and Leah Potter; Mary Kate and Kerrie Kugler. She is preceded in death by beloved grandson, Bradley Anderson. She was the proud great-grandmother of Finlay Landry. She is survived by one sister, Barbara Pollak. She is preceded in death by her brother Vernon Braud and three sisters; Evelyn Hebert, Carrie Landry and Lynette Oswald.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 26, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, River Road, Destrehan.
Visitation will be held from 9:15 – 11 a.m. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The Rev. Francis Majors will be officiating. Interment will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.
