Kellie Fletcher Growl

Heaven gained a Special Angel. Kellie Fletcher Growl passed away on Tuesday February 15, 2022, at the age of 40. Native of Kenner, LA and resident of Luling, LA.

A graduate of Chapelle High School and Nicholls University. Teacher for 17 years in the Saint Charles Parish School System. Most of her teaching years were at Luling Elementary- a place very close to her heart. She had a very special desire to help young children learn. She sometimes went above and beyond teaching in school to help many of them. The love she had for her students showed by the love and respect she received back from them.

Kellie loved family vacations to the beach, Gatlinburg, and the family camp in Grand Isle. She had a real passion for Zumba and was mad when she had to stop going.

Beloved wife of Richard J. Growl. Mother of Gavin William Growl and Grace Kathryn Growl. Daughter of Kathryn Guidry Fletcher and Kerry T. Fletcher. Sister of Chris Fletcher (Melanie), Darryl Fletcher (Janie) and Danny Fletcher (Emily). Aunt to Tyler, Cole, Laney, Callie, Clayton, Caydee, Addison and Aiden Fletcher, Carter Growl, Riley Growl, Emersen, Amelia and Cullen Tregre. Daughter in law of Ronnie Growl and the late Roberta Picard Growl. Sister in law of Rennie (Tricia), Rhitt (Robyn) Growl, and Robyn (Jonathan) Tregre.

Thanks to all the family and friends who have prayed and supported Kellie during her 8 and a half year battle of ocular melanoma. The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses and medical staff who helped her along the journey.

Thank you to the St. Charles Parish School System for your support.

In lieu of flowers, please bring any type of school supplies in Honor of Kellie to be donated to Luling Elementary. The family will supply the backpacks. “ God picked the right Chick.”
