Janice Rodney Jones, 59, passed away on April 6, 2011 at her home in Destrehan.
She was the daughter of the late Paul Rodney Jr. and Naomi Rodney, beloved wife of Michael Eugene Jones, mother of Ryan M. Jones and Christopher M. Jones, stepmother of Cedrick Jones, sister of Wanda Nocentelli (husband Angelo), Stacey Rodney, Tracey Rodney and Terri Thomas; and sister-in-law of Danette Jones. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Destrehan. She retired from the Social Security Administration.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church on April 9 with Msgr. Harry J. Bugler celebrant. Interment followed at Jefferson Memorial Garden Cemetery in St. Rose. Services were arranged by Robottom Mortuary.
