Wade Jackson Jr., 81, native of Luling and resident of Hemet, Calif., passed away on Oct. 2, 2017. Wade is survived by his children, Arlene Jackson Williams, Darlene Jackson, and Wade (Terri) Jackson; grandchildren, Cherie (Mark) Johnson, Shantell (Alton Morales) Williams, Zachariah and Isabella Jackson; two sisters, Dorothy Byrd and Idola Crockett; a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Wade is preceded in death by his parents, Wade, Sr. and Ophelia Turner Jackson; sisters, Josephine Devis and Rosie Cotton, and brother, Clifford Jackson.
A gravesite memorial, including the pouring of his ashes, will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the St. Mary Cemetery in Boutte at 1 p.m. Pastor David Williams, Truth of Grace Ministries, officiating.
