Rose Mary Landaiche Haydel, 89, passed away at Ormond Nursing and Care Center in Destrehan on Feb. 14, 2012.
She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Raymond Haydel, daughter of the late John Landaiche Sr. and Fidelia Schexnayder Landaiche, sister of Myrtis L. Woods, John Landaiche Jr., Marjorie L. Barnhart, the late Floyd Landaiche, Dorothy L. Rybiski and Rogerie Landaiche; also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of the La. School for the deaf in Baton Rouge. She was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Orleans. She and her late husband were active members of St. Gerard Deaf Community, parishioners of Blessed Selos Catholic Church, and past Queen of their Mardi Gras Ball. Services were held at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp in Metairie on Feb. 18 with interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at www.tharpsontheimer.com
