Amelia Gloria Santos Gassen, 88, a native of New Orleans and resident of Luling for 66 years, passed away on March 10.
Visitation was held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling on March 14. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at the church with burial that followed in St. Charles Cemetery.
Gassen is survived by her loving husband, Arthur E. Gassen Jr.; children, Laura Gassen Templet (Deborah), Wanita Gassen Montreuil (Harold), Arthur E. Gassen III, Wayne Gassen (Lyddi), Jeffery Gassen (Tina); 11 grandchildren, Philip, Marcel, Cynthia, Emma Rose, Jean-Paul, Stephanie, Reneé, Malia, Kelsie, Angel, Luke and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joaquin Santos; mother, Eva Louisa LaMarque; brother, Joachim “Joe” Santos; sister, Theolia Lotuso.
