Edward “Toe Joe” Fonseca, 86, a native and resident of Des Allemands, passed away on Jan. 7, 2019.
Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 12) at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his children, Shelia Southard (Steve), Randy Fonseca (Debbie), Tammy Becnel (Jason) and Angel Fonseca Reyna; brothers, Leon and Joseph Fonseca; sisters, Josie Alexander and Agnes Murry; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosemary Aucoin Fonseca; parents, Joseph and Domitile Fonseca; brothers, Raymond, Warren and Walter Fonseca and sisters, Myrtle Rome, Flavia Fonseca, Mamie Rogers, Bernice Cortez and Margaret Catorie.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
