
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Earl J. Nicholas, Jr. peacefully in his home in Hahnville, LA.
Earl, fondly known as E.J., Punnie, Pie and Jay was born June 4, 1950. He departed this earthly realm on April 26, 2025 leaving a void that can never be filled.
He is survived by his first wife Doris Nicholas and their two children Earl J. Nicholas, III and Rachel Nicholas, granddaughter Riley Tate, second wife Anita Nicholas, stepchildren Dawn (Gary) Richoux and Douglas (Carmen) Yennie, granddaughter Ashleigh (Henry) Arita, great grandchildren Olivia Arita and Isaiah Arita, nephews Timothy Thibodaux, Peter Thibodaux and niece Virginia “Jenny” (Leon) Lips, and great nephew Christopher Thibodaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Virginia Durapau Nicholas and Earl John Nicholas, Sr. and sister Jacklyn Smolder.
Earl loved playing darts, fishing, hosting family get togethers, gardening, and playing cards.
A special huge thank you must go to the nurses (or as Earl referred to them as “his girls”) at St. Charles Parish Ochsner Infusion Center for the loving and caring attention he received from them.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at L. A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd., Kenner on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hahnville, LA.
