Ron Joseph Dufrene, 44, a native and resident of Bayou Gauche passed away Friday Oct. 7.
Dufrene is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jeanie Schaubhut Dufrene; parents, Grace and Ronald Dufrene; son, Hunter James Dufrene; Mackenzie Grace Dufrene; and his sister, Joy Dufrene Howard.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grace and Joseph Cancienne and Alverta and Joseph Dufrene.
Dufrene was an employee at Oxy Chem. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial service was held on Oct. 12 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church followed by burial in St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery.
