Doris Haydel Broussard Klein was born July 27, 1921 and died on September 10, 2022 at the age of 101.
She was a native of New Orleans and raised her family in Norco Louisiana.
Doris was the loving wife of the late Avery “Bruce” Broussard and the late Harry “HEK” Klein.
Beloved mother of Ronald Broussard, John Patrick “Pat” Broussard, Diane Schexnaydre (Thomas), Mary Diehl (Harold), Doris Vasconcellos (the late Joe C), Charles Broussard, Patricia Broussard, the late Robert “Bobby” Broussard and the late Cynthia Broussard.
She was the proud grandmother of 20 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 28 great-great grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents Richard J. Haydel and Mathilda Whitman Haydel, and by her siblings Jane Wiggins, Betty Ruck, Patsy Ragan and Richard P. Haydel.
The family wishes to thank the employees of Tranquil Living Assisted Living Facility in Marrero and Compassus Hospice for their endless compassion and excellent care.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 2552 Kentucky Avenue, Kenner on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery, Destrehan.
