Debra Brisset Kaufman passed away at the age of 68, on Friday, May 22, 2026. She was born in New Orleans and lived in Destrehan. She retired from St Charles Parish Public School with 29 Yrs of service. She also was an instructor at NOLA Institute for 6 Yrs.
She has joined her beloved son Frankie Joseph Michael Kaufman, her former husband Michael F Kaufman IV and her mother Marian Weber in death. She also is proceeded in death by her granddaughter Annabelle. She leaves behind her loving parent Frank J Brisset (Katie). Her sister’s Rosalinde Brisset Saizan (Rick), Karen Brisset and Kathleen Rome (C J). She also leaves behind her nieces and nephews Jessica Vicknair (Josh)Ashleigh Tuozzolo (Andrew), Katarina Robert (Eric), Cody Beard (Sara), Brent Rome Jr (Allyson), Kaysen Bowen, several great nephews and nieces and her prize possession Brent Paul Rome III (Tripp).
The family would like to thank The St Joseph Hospice for their excellent services.
A memorial will be held Saturday, June 13, 2026, at St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 13396 River Road, Destrehan, LA. Memorial Service’s will 9:00am – 11:00am. Mass will begin at 11:00am followed with the internment at the cemetery.
