Robert D. Davis, 75, known to his friends as “Bob,” passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
He was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on December 8, 1941. Bob enjoyed working at Union Carbide / Dow Chemical until he retired. In retirement, he loved supporting the staff and students at Boutte Christian Academy (BCA).
He served as a deacon at Life Church in Boutte. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Rollie Davis, his sister, Barbara Reeves, and his son, Rickey.
Bob was the beloved husband of Linda Davis. He was a loving father to Kelly Sheppard (Tim), Nickey Davis, Rickey Davis and Michael Davis (Sheri). He was proud of his grandchildren: Jessica, Christy, Brandon, Nicole, Andrew, Samantha, Deajha, Kristen, Sara, and Chris; and his 11 great-grandchildren.
