Jeanie Chancey, 58, passed away on March 18 in Destrehan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Chancey; grandparents, Edna and Vernice Hodges; parents, Robert Fambro and Sarah Francis Macon; siblings, Bobby Fambro and Sherron Fambro.
She is survived by her daughters, Rachel Chancey; Robin Chancey Evans (Chris); grandchildren, Grace and Chance Evans; aunt and uncle, Judi and Teddy Fambro; siblings, Eddie Earley, (Emily), James Fambro ( Kelly) and Richard Fambro (Dawn); step-mother, Becky Fambro; aunt, Connie Hodges; cousin, Caprice, dear friend and companion, Carey Simoneaux; and longtime friend Nicky Wheeler.
Jeanie was a beautiful and caring woman. Her hair and makeup were always done to perfection, but she was not afraid to get her hands dirty doing the things she loved like gardening. She loved babies and children, and for many years she donated handmade gift baskets to expecting mothers.
Jeanie was an avid animal lover and was deeply devoted to her dogs.
There will be a private Graveside Service at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
