Rodney James Breaux, 45, a resident of Chalmette , LA and a native of Ama, LA passed away on October 2, 2007. Beloved father of Lauren Breaux and stepfather to Sarah Julien.
Brother to Sabrina Breaux Bergeron, Ricky Breaux, and the late James J. Breaux, Jr. Brother-in-law to Percy Bergeron and Kerri Breaux. Son of James “J.J.” Breaux and the late Lena Cannaliato Breaux. Employed by the United way of Greater New Orleans .
Rodney was heavily involved in the St. Bernard Parish project to rebuild St. Bernard Parish with partners Zac Rosenburg and Liz McCartney. He was a member of the Knights of Nemesis, Kiwanas of St. Bernard, an active member of the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and the Elaine P. Nunez College . Member of the United Steel Workers-447.
Long time member of the St. Bernard Dart League. He was very heavily involved in many clubs and organizations to help rebuild St. Bernard Parish. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd. , Marrero , LA on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 9 AM. Interment St. Charles Cemetery , Luling , LA. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 6 PM until 10 PM and again on Saturday morning from 8 AM until Service Time.
