A Boutte woman told authorities that she was pulled over by a man impersonating a cop, but then lost consciousness shortly after being stopped.
She says that when she awoke, her cell phone and money were gone.
The incident, which took place on Oct. 12, began when the 24-year-old said she was pulled over in the 100 block of River Ridge Drive in Boutte sometime between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
She told police that the man that pulled her over was driving a white vehicle with a blue flashing light on the dashboard.
She described him as being a black male that was 5’9 and had a beard. She said he was between his late 20s and early 30s.
Shortly after being stopped, the woman said that she lost conciousness and was robbed.
Capt. Pat Yoes, a spokesman with the Sheriff’s Office, said the woman did not have any injuries that he was aware of.
