Woman arrested and charged in Montz murder

Allegedly stabbed man, 54, to death in his home

Shelita Robinson, 36, 537 Central Ave., Apt. 22, of Metairie, has been booked and charged with second-degree murder in St. Charles Parish in connection with the Dec. 21 stabbing death of Monroe Kelly, 54, in Montz, according to St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne.

Kelly was stabbed on Dec. 21 and was found lying in a pool of blood in his home in the 200 block of Union Lane in Montz the next day. She is being held at the Nelson Coleman Correctional Center in St. Charles Parish in lieu of $300,000 bond set by state District Judge Robert Chaisson.
