Two west bank residents flee from police

Both subjects found to be in possession of narcotics

Two west bank subjects were arrested on June 16 after St. Charles Parish Deputies responded to a call that the subjects were selling crack cocaine in the Luling area.Corey Pierre, 36, of 419 Boutte Estates Dr., Boutte, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute SCH II CDS to wit cocaine, resisting arrest by flight, resisting an officer, possession of SCH I CDS to wit marijuana, an attachment by the St. Charles Sheriff’s Office and a fugitive from Jefferson Parish.

Pernell Simmons Jr., 33, of 1022 Paul Fredrick St., Luling, was also arrested and charged with possession of cocaine in the same incident.

St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call from a resident indicating that she had witnessed the two subjects selling crack cocaine in the area. Upon approaching the subjects, Pierre fled the scene on foot after which he was quickly apprehended. While fleeing, the subject was witnessed throwing a bag of marijuana.

Pierre was also had an attachment from the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear in court for suspended driver’s license. The subject was also wanted for an assult charge in Jefferson Parish.

Both men were arrested and booked accordingly.
