Two St. Charles Parish men sought in Luling shooting

Two St. Charles Parish men are being sought in connection with Wednesday’s (Nov. 21) shooting in Luling.

Tyler Dufrene, 21, 170 Schmill Street in Boutte, and Ross Hooper, 20, of 118 Allison Drive in Luling, are both in the shooting.

The two are accused of shooting a man around 1:24 p.m. on Luling Estates Drive. The victim, not identified by the Sheriff’s Office, was apparently shot twice in the back and taken to a local hospital. He was reported in stable condition.

Dufrene faces one charge each of second degree attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. Dufrene is approximately 5’10 and weighs approximately 170 lbs. with black hair and hazel eyes.

Hooper faces a charge of principle to attempted second degree murder. Hooper is approximately 5’ and weights approximately 107 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes.
