Two arrested in Boutte shooting

Two men were arrested Thursday (Nov. 1) in Boutte shooting.

Stanley Robinson was arrested and charged with a count of second degree aggravated battery and a count of felony carrying an illegal weapon, and Terron Ingram was arrested and charged with a count of obstruction of Justice, according to St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne.

Around 10 p.m., deputies responded to a call of gunshots in the 100 block of South Kinler Street. They located a 26-year-old Boutte man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transferred to a local hospital for treatment.

Champagne said an investigation determined the apparent victim was involved in an altercation with Robinson, an acquaintance of the victim. During the altercation, Robinson allegedly shot the man and then Ingram attempted to hide the firearm.

The incident is still under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Joseph Dewhirst of the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 783-1135 or (985)783-6807.
