Top 10 intriguing Clontz headlines

Derek Clontz, former editor for the Herald-Guide, worked with the National Enquirer Magazine for 20 years. And although readers complained about Clontz once he became a part of the newspaper, calling his headlines racy and outrageous, some people loved the changes.

One thing both the readers who didn’t like the facelift the Herald-Guide got once Clontz took over and the ones who did like the changes have in common was Clontz’s ability to get the readers attention parish wide. A goal Clontz accomplished in the short time he worked for the paper.

As we draw to the close of 2007 with the New Year fast approaching, we would like to take this opportunity to go back in time and review a few headlines written by the former editor  that stopped readers in their tracks and left them guessing what Clontz would think of next.
