Suspected robber nabbed at crime scene

Bathroom pit stop lands Houma man in jail

A trip back to the scene of a robbery he allegedly committed two weeks earlier at a Boutte gas station landed a Houma man in jail according to the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Henry Bolden, Jr., 31, 405 Westside Blvd. Apt.93, was arrested June 27 at the Champion’s Exxon in Boutte after the clerk working called police and alerted them to the presence of Bolden in the gas station’s bathroom. The clerk told officers that she believed the man in the bathroom was the same man who held the store up at gun point on June 10, Capt. Pat Yoes told the Herald-Guide.

When police arrived they questioned Bolden and found him to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, which he was arrested for.

The victim in the June 10 robbery at the Exxon later positively identified Bolden as the man who robbed the Boutte gas station two weeks prior.

Bolden was charged with relative to armed robbery and possession of marijuana. Judge Emile St. Pierre set bail at $550,000.
