St. Pierre transition team plans to make parish government more efficient, seeks applicants for several key positions

Parish President-elect V.J. St. Pierre held the third meeting of his Transition Team on Tuesday, Dec. 11, and reports that preparations for the beginning of his administration are progressing well.

Members of the Transition Team include: Kelly Buckwalter of Norco, an agent with Allstate Insurance; Art Carlson of Luling, retired from Union Carbide; Bobby Donaldson of Norco, retired from Shell Chemical; Cathy Herren of Luling, Director of Housing Initiatives for Entergy; Zelda Lewis of St. Rose, co-pastor of Word of Liberty Christian Fellowship; Wayne Roussel of Destrehan, an agent with Eagan Insurance; Erick St. Amant of Destrehan, retired from Prudential Insurance; Leon Vial of Hahnville, an attorney; John “Rusty” Walker of Hahnville, retired from St. Charles Parish Schools; Herman Weston of St. Rose, Secretary of A.M.E. Services; and George Williamson of Luling, retired from Monsanto Company.

At the December meeting, representatives of James Hartman and Associates gave a presentation of their findings after conducting extensive interviews with Parish government staff. Recommendations included changes to Parish Government organizational structure and the identifying of issues of importance to incoming President-elect St. Pierre and his Transition Team.

James Hartman and Associates is a Baton Rouge-based consulting firm retained by the Parish Government to facilitate the installation of the new administration.
