Volunteers needed to clean up American Legion Post 131

American Legion Post 131 suffered extensive damage due to Hurricane Ida.

American Legion Post 131 members and community volunteers will gather at the Post building tomorrow morning to continue clean up and repair efforts.

Commander Jason Richard said the Post building, located at 103 Milling Avenue in Luling, suffered extensive damage due to Hurricane Ida. While he was able to remove a tree that fell on the building, Richard said there is still clean-up and gutting work needed in the Post’s kitchen and back office.

Volunteers should meet at the Post at 7:30 a.m. tomorrow, Sept. 22. All tools and equipment will be provided.
