The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for areas of Louisiana and Mississippi which includes St. Charles Parish. The National Weather Services anticipates that Tropical Storm Cristobal will make landfall Sunday and effects to be felt as early as Saturday morning.
Residents are urged to continue to prepare for tropical storm force winds and heavy amounts of rain as a flash flood watch has been issued through Tuesday.
St. Charles Parish Department of Public Works will close the following on Saturday, June 6 ahead of Tropical Storm Cristobal:
*Sellers Canal at Pier 90 – closed by 5 p.m.
*Des Allemands HESCO basket gaps – closed by 12 p.m.
*Des Allemands boat launch – closed by 5 p.m.
